Maldives Tourist Promotion Board and JTB Corp. have jointly announced on March 01, 2006 at the capital of Maldives Malé, that both parties have reached an agreement and exchanged for alliance in promoting Maldives as a unique and precious tourist destination in Japanese Market.
By this agreement, Maldives Tourist Promotion Board, (MTPB) will entrust all promotional activities to JTB Corp. for Japanese Tourist Market.
JTB Corp. will use its nationwide resources to market Maldives effectively as one single destination which offers great value and cultural enhancement.
Dr. Abdulla Mausoom, Director General of MTPB said, “MTPB have taken an innovative initiative in appointing JTB as their marketing and promotion arm for Japan Market which is an extremely important market segment to develop Maldives ' tourism. It is with great pleasure and hope that JTB Corp., the largest Travel Management Company have joined as a team to support MTPB in every possible way.”
